“In disaster response, every second counts. A week went by while the citizens of North Carolina suffered without the equipment and soldiers needed to save lives and begin recovery. This is the sort of bureaucratic hiccup that engaged political leaders solve. A competent leader would have ordered those men and women into motion earlier, bureaucracy be damned. Ms. Harris and Mr. Biden treated the situation like a public-relations disaster instead of a real one.
…
“President Trump and I are realists. We know there’s no perfect disaster recovery and that a storm like Helene will bring hardship to American towns no matter how well the government responds. But this wasn’t the response that the people of Western North Carolina deserved. As Hurricane Milton barrels toward the Florida coast and Secretary Mayorkas claims FEMA is running out of disaster funds, it’s time the Biden-Harris administration got its act together.”

TRUMP-VANCE CALL ON NORTH CAROLINA LEADERS TO EXPAND VOTER ACCESS IN COUNTIES ACROSS NORTH CAROLINA IMPACTED BY HELENE
Today the Trump-Vance Campaign is asking Governor Roy Cooper and the North Carolina General Assembly to swiftly enact an expansion of voter access for North Carolinians who live in the areas of the state suffering from the impact of Hurricane Helene.
“These 10 improvements in voting access in North Carolina will ensure the people who have already suffered from the storm don’t lose their right to participate in this important election. Swift action from the North Carolina General Assembly and the Governor will ensure the people of their state have their voices heard on November 5th,” said Trump-Vance Campaign Campaign Managers Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita.
1. Ensure Election Day Voting Locations provide the ability for any voter in the impacted county to vote from that location, instead of just their local precinct.
2. Expanding bipartisan election official teams (known as MAT or Multipartisan Assistance Teams) to have the ability to assist displaced voters in requesting and delivering absentee ballots to the county boards.
3. Allow voters who have been displaced to another North Carolina county to have the ability to deliver their absentee ballot in the new county or to the State Board.
4. Require absentee ballots that are returned to the county board in the county the voter is temporarily residing in to be returned to the voter’s county board as soon as possible but at a minimum once a week and with strict chain-of-custody requirements. Including a log for when voters return absentee ballots and a code that denotes that the ballot was accepted outside of the county.
5. Allow voters who have been displaced to another North Carolina county to have the ability to vote a provisional ballot on election day, which will be delivered back to and processed at the voter’s correct County Board of Elections.
6. Allocate an adequate amount of emergency funds for additional communication via digital, radio, broadcast, and text to affected voters with updated means of voting.
7. Waive the uniformity requirement for Early Voting site times in the impacted counties, including the opportunity for voting on Sunday. Allow impacted counties to change their early voting plans and election day precinct locations to maximize the in-person voting opportunities within the affected counties. Additionally, the county board should be able to commandeer government owned buildings without having to follow the statutorily required negotiations.
8. Allow the affected county boards to use temporary structures as voting locations during Early Voting and on Election Day.
9. Waive the residency requirement for poll workers to serve in the affected counties. Allow for the temporary appointment of non-partisan election officials who live out of county where there are vacancies created by the displacement of the current election officials.
10. Waive the county residency requirement for poll observers to be appointed by the county political party chair in the affected counties.
Trump Campaign Demands 60 Minutes Release Unedited Kamala Interview Transcript
“On Sunday, 60 Minutes teased Kamala’s highly-anticipated sit-down interview with one of her worst word salads to date, which received significant criticism on social media. During the full interview on Monday evening, the word salad was deceptively edited to lessen Kamala’s idiotic response. Why did 60 Minutes choose not to air Kamala’s full word salad, and what else did they choose not to air? The American people deserve the full, unedited transcript from Kamala’s sit-down interview. We call upon 60 Minutes and CBS to release it. What do they, and Kamala, have to hide?”

President Donald J. Trump to Hold a Rally in Aurora, Colorado
President Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States of America, will deliver remarks at a rally in Aurora, Colorado on Friday, October 11, 2024, at 1:00PM MDT.
Aurora, Colorado has become a “war zone” due to the influx of violent Venezuelan prison gang members from Tren de Aragua. With approximately 43,000 migrants flooding the neighboring city of Denver since December 2022, many of these migrants have made their way to Aurora, bringing chaos and fear with them. Local families have been forced to flee their homes as Tren de Aragua members terrorize apartment complexes with guns, theft, and rampant drug activity. Kamala Harris’ open-border policies are turning once-safe communities into nightmares for law-abiding citizens.
Denver, just 15 miles away and a sanctuary city, is buckling under the strain of illegal immigrants who have overwhelmed the city’s safety-net hospital. In one year alone, the hospital spent a staggering $10 million on 20,000 visits by illegal migrants. Emergency room visits by Venezuelans in Denver surged by 6,000 percent, further depleting already scarce resources.
Tren de Aragua gang members infiltrated multiple apartment complexes in Aurora. Aurora police have linked at least 10 individuals to the Tren de Aragua gang, with eight of them already arrested for crimes ranging from shootings to assaults. These violent criminals are destroying the safety and security of Aurora’s apartment complexes, and yet, the Harris-Biden administration continues to allow illegal immigrants to cross the borders unchecked.
Kamala’s border bloodbath has made every state a border state, leaving Colorado families at the mercy of criminals. The only solution to stop the border crisis is to elect President Trump, who will secure the border, deport dangerous criminals, and Make America Safe Again.
