The Clown Show at CNN continues unabated…Travel Restrictions Are An Important Part of Curbing the Spread of the Coronavirus…Democrats and some in the media are spreading misinformation about travel restrictions in an effort to attack the President.
- Recently, Rep. Jerry Nadler claimed that the President’s decision to restrict travel of some individuals from affected areas was irrational and unhelpful.
- REP. NADLER: “It’s irrational and doesn’t help the public health.”
- CNN’s Jim Acosta went as far as to say that the President describing the foreign origin of the virus amounted to “xenophobia.”
- ACOSTA: “I think it is going to come across to a lot of Americans as smacking of xenophobia to use that kind of term in this speech.”
Partisans opposing these common sense measures are at odds with some of our nation’s top healthcare experts.
- NIAID Director Anthony Fauci has agreed that restrictions on China made a huge difference in preventing more cases in the United States.
- NIAID DIRECTOR FAUCI: “I think doing that saved us a lot of, a lot of concern and a lot of suffering.”
- NIAID DIRECTOR FAUCI: “To block them from coming in, was unquestionably the right move even though it was a controversial move. It was the right move.”
- Asked today about the new restrictions, Fauci made clear that the majority of new cases are originating from Europe and this will make a difference.
- FAUCI: Most of the new infections that we’re getting right now, the majority of them are coming from Europe.
Q: So you think that’ll make a difference?
FAUCI: I really do. I really do.
